A catch-all functionality that is activated for a given email mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise stated, if you remove an email address and someone still sends an email message to it, or to any misspelled email address under the same domain, you’ll receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be essential if you run some company, for example. Since you may start receiving unsolicited bulk messages, you can combine the catch-all option with anti-spam filtering software in order to receive only real emails in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting
In case you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you have a website hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any e-mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel includes quite a lot of functions, but it is exceptionally easy to use, so creating a catch-all mailbox takes only a single click. All the email addresses that you have will be displayed in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll simply need to click on the "Catch-all" button associated with the particular email address. Our system will alert you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either turn off the latter feature or select a different mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all option is just as easy and requires yet another click on the exact same button.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
The custom-built Hepsia Control Panel that comes with each semi-dedicated server plan that we offer will permit you to create a catch-all e-mailbox without any difficulties even if you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All it takes to achieve that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each email address that you have created with your domain names in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Since you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will warn you if you have already created a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding enabled. If you decide that you do not need this feature any longer, you can disable it by clicking again on the very same icon. The Email Manager will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
